STEEL

Description:
Mild Steel is an Iron-carbon alloy containing less than 0.25 percent carbon which makes it more ductile and less hard thus rendering it unsuitable for structural work. Where spans go beyond certain distances the structural capability of mild steel is utilized to provide a support structure. A combination of Box sections and I-beams are used to resolve the span issue. All mild steel installed by Cloud 9 is galvanised.

In the case of structural mild steel Cloud 9 consults with an engineer and a structural certificate is issued on completion of all projects of this nature.

Advantages:
- Relatively Inexpensive
- Wide Range Available
- High Tensile Properties
- Easy to Machine and Weld
